The Type 402 studs are used on very wet, muddy surfaces. Due to their size and geometry, with a coarse surface structure in an H-profile, slipping is prevented even in the most difficult ground conditions. Ideal for use in eventing for heavy, large horses or for extra grip in the rear horseshoes.

For Type 402 studs, the large mounting socket is required (see below).

The Type 401 studs are used on very wet, soft, and muddy surfaces. Due to their size (Type 401 is the widest stud in the range), geometry, and coarse surface structure, they prevent slipping in the most challenging ground conditions. Ideal for use in eventing for heavy, large horses or for extra grip in the rear horseshoes.
