Stainless Steel Blank Studs – Type 103 – 1 Pc.

Our stainless steel blank studs have a rubber ring for tightening in the thread and are therefore protected against damage. These are now usable for even longer.

The blank studs serve to protect the thread from dirt and damage and are ideal for transport to tournaments or on-site. The rubber ring allows the blank stud to tighten itself in the thread and stay in place. The blank studs are designed for multiple uses, thus protecting the environment. Stainless steel is 100% recyclable!

The blank studs now sit completely recessed (2-3mm) in the thread and are therefore protected from wear when the horseshoe becomes thinner over time. Nevertheless, care should be taken with worn horseshoes to ensure that the slot for mounting is not damaged. Otherwise, they must be replaced.

They are inserted into the threaded holes using the mounting attachment for the plug-in swivel wrench or the new blank stud screwdriver and can thus be quickly and easily removed at the destination. This saves a lot of time in stressful situations and spares the nerves, as the threads do not need to be cleaned again and the studs can be easily screwed into the clean thread.

To remove, simply clean the slot from dirt (e.g., with our included screwdriver) and then unscrew with the attachment or screwdriver.

Note: Please note that permanent use of the blank studs is not recommended. The thread should be thoroughly cleaned before use. Use WD-40 or similar if necessary. The blank studs must be screwed completely recessed into the thread and replaced when worn. The thread must be checked for gauge. With a worn or non-gauge thread, 100% functionality of the product cannot be guaranteed.

These flat studs of Type 105 are universally applicable on any surface, especially in snow and ice. They are also recommended for rides on varying surfaces such as asphalt, paved paths, or compacted grass. They can also replace simple carbide pins in stable aisles for better grip. The integrated carbide pin additionally reduces stud wear. Due to their very flat design, the studs are also suitable for extended use.

The Type 308 stud is primarily used on difficult grass surfaces, depending on the ground conditions. At 24 mm, it is one of the longest turf studs in our range and is suitable for soft and very wet grass surfaces, as well as for particularly heavy horses. Its conical shape allows it to easily penetrate the ground and provides excellent grip in all weather conditions.

The carbide pin significantly reduces wear when walking on asphalt or stone, thus increasing the stud’s durability.

We recommend using this stud in the rear horseshoe on both sides or only in the outer threaded hole in combination with shorter studs (e.g., Type 205/305/307) in the front horseshoes.

Like the Type 305, the Type 307 stud is used on a variety of grassy surfaces. It is suitable for dry as well as moist/wet soils . Its conical shape allows it to easily penetrate the soil, providing a strong grip thanks to its height.

Thanks to the integrated carbide pin, this stud wears out less quickly, even when in contact with asphalt.

The stud can be used in all 4 horseshoes or only at the front in combination with longer studs (e.g. type 308), at the back or only at the back in combination with other stud types.

At 22 mm, they are one of the longest turf studs in the range and are suitable for tall, soft or wet grass, as well as for particularly heavy horses. Thanks to their pointed conical shape and special geometry, they penetrate the ground easily and provide excellent grip on rough terrain. The carbide pin significantly reduces wear when walking on asphalt or stone, thus increasing the stud’s durability.

The turf stud Type 304 is suitable for demanding grounds due to its special geometry. Especially on muddy, very wet grounds and for particularly heavy horses, the use of this stud is appropriate to ensure secure grip at all times. Its shape allows it to penetrate well into softened ground and offers maximum grip in every situation.

Application area: Muddy ground, slush, difficult terrain

We recommend using them in the rear horseshoes, either in pairs or only on the outside in combination with other studs, depending on ground conditions.

The Type 205 stud with tungsten carbide pin is an all-rounder and can be used universally on any surface. It belongs to the standard equipment and should not be missing in any stud set, as it can be versatilely combined with other stud types. Depending on the area of use and weather, the stud can be used in all horseshoes or only in the front in combination with longer studs in the rear horseshoes. For rain and mud, we also recommend longer studs like Type 306 and 307 for the front.

The integrated tungsten carbide pin counteracts wear of the stud when riding on hard surfaces or when crossing gravel or paved roads, for example.
